Junior Commercial Analyst (up to £32,500)

About the role

As a Junior Commercial Analyst, you will join a dynamic and commercially focused data team that is increasingly using big data as a core driver of digital advertising revenue. You will be using key data tools to extract, analyse and visualise insights into our advertising business, feeding this back to senior analysts and managers as well as key stakeholders and actioning findings. The ability to offer actionable insight is also crucial in driving data-backed decisions.

 

As a Junior Commercial analyst you will;

  • Utilise Salesforce CRM-A our business intelligence tool, harnessing Einstein GPT/AI for advanced dashboard creation and predictive analysis, driving strategic decision-making.
  • Provide monthly sales reporting to management team, providing insight on market-share, yield, revenue, and key client activity as well as monitoring KPIs such as Page Views, CTR & STR
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analytical support across the department upon request.
  • Support new ad product initiatives by providing insight on the impact of making various on-site changes.
  • Support the commercial data team in bringing in new datasets, utilising APIs when required. Using SQL and the Azure DWH to cleanse, wrangle and join data from a variety of sources.
  • Build and maintain optimal production pipelines in the data warehouse to drive efficiency, reliability and accuracy.
  • Monitor and update the pricing structure of online advertising products to ensure optimal results and carry out benchmark analysis.
  • Produce client presentations/documents for stakeholders across the business and contribute to L&D via the Ad academy.
  • Explore and develop machine learning opportunities to enhance decision making and results.
  • Attend industry related events providing key takeaways in improving ways of working.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, Index match etc.)
  • Experience of using visualisation platforms such as Tableau and Salesforce preferable
  • Intermediate SQL skills
  • Ability to understand, digest and communicate complex information to stakeholders.
  • Ability to build relationships with a variety of colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a focus on commissions analysis and Salesforce CRM usage.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM or willingness to learn.
