BBC Gardeners' World Magazine launches new podcast series

The latest series ofย Gardenersโ World magazineย podcast titledย Dangerous Plants, is hosted by author, conservationist, and horticulturist,ย Frances Tophill.
The 8-part series Dangerous Plants โ launches today (Tuesday 8 October) โ focusses on many areas where plants can be dangerous, have seen to be dangerous or have dangers associated with them. Murder mysteriesโฆ poisonous potionsโฆ mind alteringโฆ wily witchcraftโฆ crime-solvingโฆ hedgerow pleasuresโฆ perilous industriesโฆplant pursuing. Plants have the capacity to hold secrets, kill, enchant, thrill, heal, harm, entice and nourish.ย
The series covers forensic botany, witchcraft, ethnobotany, foraging, plant hunting, Agatha Christieโs poison plants, the Alnwick Poison Garden, and cotton (from slave trade to farming and environmental impact).
