HistoryExtra launches 30 Under 30 search

HistoryExtra, the official website of BBC History Magazine, and historian, presenter and author Alice Loxton have joined forces to search out the next generation of history makers.

Young people aged between 18 and 30 and working in the realm of history and heritage – whether in academia or hands-on practicing a heritage craft – are being asked to submit their entry for HistoryExtra’s prestigious 30 Under 30 accolade.

All the entries will be assessed by a panel of expert judges and the winners and their work will be showcased on HistoryExtra and in BBC History Magazine.

Historian and Chair of the judging panel, Alice Loxton says: “There are so many young people doing such incredible work in the history and heritage worlds, and I’m thrilled to be working with HistoryExtra to recognise their passion and enthusiasm. I would encourage everyone to apply – however small or strange your history or heritage contribution – and I can’t wait to see the entries!”

Dr Dave Musgrove, Content Director of HistoryExtra and BBC History Magazine says: “We’re launching the HistoryExtra 30 Under 30 list to showcase the talented generation who are dedicated to helping preserve and understand the past.  We hope that young people across the UK whose work and craft shows their commitment to history share their story and their passion for the past with us. We look forward to celebrating them in BBC History Magazine and on HistoryExtra
