About the role
The Social Content & Audience Executive is responsible for creating, planning and publishing social-first content across MadeForMums’ channels, with a particular focus on original short-form video, audience growth, community participation and consistent weekly output.
This is a hands-on content role for someone who combines strong creative instincts with the confidence to take ownership of a brand’s social output. You will develop ideas, script, film, edit and publish content yourself, while also shaping the wider content mix based on platform trends, audience insight and performance.
The role sits at the intersection of content creation, social media, audience development and community. It turns MadeForMums’ expertise, editorial content, parent community and audience insight into distinctive, platform-appropriate social content that is useful, engaging and recognisably MadeForMums.
As a Social Media & Audience Engagement Executive you will;
- Develop content from concept to publication, including hooks, scripts, filming, editing, graphics, captions and platform-specific execution.
- Film and edit short-form vertical video using Adobe Premiere Pro, and create static and graphic content in Canva.
- Appear confidently on camera when presenting, interviewing or supporting editorial and branded content.
- Develop recurring formats and franchises that build engagement, recognition and repeat viewing.
- Turn editorial stories, audience conversations and contributor experiences into engaging social content.
- Balance planned production with reactive content, trends and timely parenting conversations.
- Maintain high standards of storytelling, accuracy, brand tone and production quality.
- Plan, schedule and publish a varied mix of content across MadeForMums’ social channels.
- Use platform trends, audience behaviour and performance data to refine content, formats and channel strategy.
- Monitor reach, engagement, shares, saves and audience conversations to inform future content.
- Maintain a warm, inclusive and trusted MadeForMums voice across social channels.
- Source, recruit and coordinate parent contributors for social content, campaigns, product testing and editorial opportunities.
- Create accessible contributor briefs and provide guidance on filming, framing, storytelling and delivery.
- Edit and shape user-generated content into engaging, platform-appropriate output.
- Develop audience call-outs and participation opportunities that represent a broad range of parenting experiences.
- Lead social promotion and audience recruitment for initiatives including the MadeForMums Awards, product testing programmes and impact-led campaigns.
- Collaborate with Editorial, Brand Marketing, central social, Commercial, Sales and Partnerships teams to deliver shared priorities.
- Coordinate timelines, assets, approvals and publishing requirements across stakeholders.
- Maintain content trackers, forward plans and production workflows using tools such as Monday.com and Sprout Social.
- Ensure contributor activity follows GDPR, permissions and internal data-handling processes.
- This role would suit someone from an agency, publisher or fast-paced brand social background who is comfortable managing multiple content streams and creating content hands-on.
Requirements
- Experience creating social-first content, including filming and editing short-form video, with confidence using Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva to produce polished, platform-appropriate content across formats.
- Confidence appearing on camera and delivering video content in a clear, warm and audience-appropriate way.
- A strong understanding of what makes effective short-form video across Instagram, TikTok and similar platforms, and what drives engagement.
- Experience planning and delivering recurring social output across a mix of formats — video, static and contributor-led content.
- Experience sourcing, coordinating and briefing contributors, creators or UGC talent, helping non-professionals capture usable content.
- Excellent written communication, with a warm, clear and audience-aware tone of voice.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple content streams, contributors and deadlines at once.
- A collaborative approach, with confidence working across editorial, social, video, commercial and marketing teams.
- Experience using planning and tracking tools such as Monday.com, Airtable or similar.
- A clear understanding of the value of representation and inclusive audience-building.
- Experience managing social communities, online audiences or contributor networks.
- Experience developing recurring social formats, series or franchises.
- Experience using social scheduling and reporting tools.
- Experience filming studio content, interviews, vox pops or discussion-led social formats.
